What Physical AI is
Physical AI is artificial intelligence that has gained a robot's body. Instead of producing answers inside a screen, it sees, moves and stands face to face with people in physical space. The clearest place to witness that today is Galaxy Robot Park in Godeok, Gangdong District, Seoul — a robot cultural complex of roughly 16,500 m² (5,000 pyeong) that held its grand opening on August 21, 2026.
Physical AI is artificial intelligence that acts on the physical world through a body. Machines with real presence — humanoids, quadruped robots, robotic arms — are that body. Because the intelligence is embodied, it is also called Embodied AI.
The difference is easy to state. Conversational AI is something a user talks to. Physical AI is what walks out onto a stage, holds formation with 99 other robots and dances to K-pop. The first meets you across a screen; the second shares your space.
Until recently, Physical AI was discussed mainly as industrial technology, with warehouse transport, assembly lines and facility inspection as its usual settings. What changed in 2026 is that the technology arrived in everyday consumer spaces. Meeting a robot at a performance venue, a leisure venue or a food and beverage counter is no longer an event.
Its character shifted with it — from an exhibit repeating a fixed routine to an entertainment protagonist that engages an audience and makes content alongside it. How robots learn K-pop group choreography
Turning a single dance video into group choreography for 100 robots takes three stages.

Scale grew fast. It began with a single humanoid on stage at G-DRAGON's afterparty in December 2025. Roughly nine months later, after runs of five and then twelve, a single console can now drive as many as 100 robots at once in group performance. Mixed formations that put bipedal and quadruped robots on the same stage are in operation as well.

Soulware — the layer above movement
Hardware and movement alone do not create a relationship. That is why Galaxy Corporation is building the layer it calls Soulware. By giving a robot memory, personality and character IP, the goal is a presence that sustains a relationship with people rather than a machine that performs a function. The first product pairing an in-house robot with character IP arrives between the end of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. It is a continuation of the 'Soul AI' vision Galaxy presented at the 2026 AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva.
Some features that are technically ready are deliberately held back. Letting a robot remember the face of a returning visitor is one of them. The company has stated that it will not switch the feature on until consent procedures and privacy governance are in place.

Who it is for
The audience that responded most strongly during the pre-open was families. That follows from the design: children and teenagers, the generation that will live alongside robots, meet them first as familiar presences rather than as cold industrial machines.
How many came
Every pre-open advance session sold out, and 20,000 visitors came through before the official opening. What matters is the character of that number — not guests at a free demonstration, but ticket buyers who picked a date and came. Why a K-pop company opens a robot park
Galaxy Corporation did not start out in robot manufacturing. It started with characters.
Founded in 2019 with capital of KRW 1 million, the company grew into an 'enter-tech' business that fuses entertainment IP with technology. Its starting point was avatar and virtual character content, exemplified by the 2021 metaverse variety show 'Golden Age of Bukae.' Backed by 31 institutional investors, it passed a KRW 1 trillion valuation in 2025 and became a unicorn.
The trajectory is consistent: characters and avatars, then AI and digital humans, then humanoid robots. The same logic that once built celebrities a digital alter ego now gives AI characters a body that can stand on a real stage. It is also why the company defines itself not as a robot manufacturer but as a platform.
